She didn't really know what niche to focus on when she was sharing her services. Sure, she booked clients, but she booked the wrong type and was not happy with what she was doing.

My girl, Frustrated, was frustrated. It had been three months since she opened her virtual assistant business, and all of her attempts to book clients were failing. Frustrated tried everything from posting on Craigslist, networking with people at coffee shops, and even updating her Facebook page. None of those things worked for Frustrated because she didn't have the experience to be a successful VA. Frustrated knew that it might take some time before she could build up a client base but getting discouraged was not an option. The solution may have been staring right in front of her - literally! An opportunity popped up on Frustrated's Facebook feed one day and made its way into the sidebar category "Success Stories." She clicked on it and saw that there were many success stories.
 

My Girl, Frustrated Invested in herself!

Frustrated, she felt like she had many potentials to make it as a VA, but first, she needed to figure out her niche and target market. She knew that the same way other virtual assistants did well by finding their niche, so could she. Frustrated took some time off from working and researching for coaches who might help her with this task. She found someone who specialized in helping people go from 0 to 5 or more clients in their field by giving them goals and providing guidance each week so they can see progress right away. It was hard work at times, but when Frustrated saw more clients booked than before, she knew that taking this opportunity was worth it!
